Shaina

Shaina grew up in Saskatchewan and moved to Calgary after completing high school. Before pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, she worked in the oil and gas industry. It didn’t take long for her to realize that her true passion was working with animals, which led her to enroll in the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College.

After graduating in 2016, Shaina completed her practicum with the Dand Group at Springbank Pet Hospital. What started as a practicum quickly turned into a long-term career, and she has proudly remained with the Dand Group ever since.

Throughout her career, Shaina has worked across all of the Dand clinics, gaining valuable experience in a variety of roles and helping support both patients and teams. Through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to veterinary medicine, she worked her way into management and now serves as the Hospital Manager at Thrive Veterinary Care.

Outside of work, Shaina shares her home with three rescue pets: her cats, Sophie and Abby, and her dog, Chester. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her animals and is an avid traveler who loves exploring new places and experiences.
